Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare the crust: Press the pie crust into a 9-inch pie pan and crimp the edges if desired. Set aside.
- Make the filling: In a large bowl, whisk together the corn syrup, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, walnut oil, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt until smooth and fully combined.
- Add the pecans and apples: Fold in the chopped pecans and finely chopped apples, mixing until evenly distributed.
- Assemble the pie: Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust.
- Bake: Place the pie on a baking sheet and bake for 55–60 minutes, or until the center is just set and a knife inserted comes out clean. If the crust starts to brown too quickly, cover the edges with foil.
- Cool and serve: Let the pie cool completely on a wire rack. Serve with whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream if desired!
