Ingredients

  • 3 teaspoons of International Collection™ Toasted Sesame Oil
  • 1 (1-inch) piece fresh ginger, thinly sliced
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt, plus more for sprinkling wontons
  • 16 wonton wrappers
  • cooking spray
  • Garnishes: bean sprouts, sesame seeds, and fresh cilantro
  • sweet chili sauce, for drizzling

Method

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sesame oil, ginger, and garlic. Cook, stirring constantly, for about 1 minute, or until fragrant.
  2. Add the turkey, and cook for 7–8 minutes, until browned, stirring the meat to break it apart as it cooks.
  3. Add the cabbage, carrots, soy sauce, and salt. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 4–5 minutes, until the vegetables soften but still have a slight crunch.
  4. Meanwhile, cut the wonton wrappers into triangles, and lightly coat both sides with cooking spray. Arrange them in a single layer in your air-fryer basket, sprinkling them with salt (work in batches if needed). Air-fry in a preheated air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 2–3 minutes, until golden and crispy, flipping halfway through.
  5. To assemble the bowls, scoop the filling evenly into bowls. Garnish with bean sprouts, sesame seeds, and cilantro. Drizzle with sweet chili sauce.
  6. Serve the filling with the crispy wonton chips on the side, or use the chips to scoop up the filling.
